Just yesterday, I was listening to a press conference by held Senator Dr Babar Awan and supporters and felt a bit of relief deep within heart. It was about making a pro-QURAN documentary film as a reply to the blasphemous film on Holy Quran "Fitna" by a Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders. The film is said to be an international scope documentary to project the true message of the Holy Quran and to vanish the negative propaganda against Islam.
It felt so touchy both as a Muslim and a Pakistani when Dr. Babar Awan during press conference said:
"As a Muslim parliamentarian, I have accepted this challenge to give a reply to Geert Wildersà film and this announcement will please all peace lovers and supporters of interfaith harmony and respect."
The film's script is said to be based on research from Holy QURAN prepared by a distinguished group of scholars; (I hope Dr. Zakir Naik is included in that distinguished group). The film is said to be ready in 100 days time frame and would be released in three languages simultaneously as English, Urdu, and Arabic. As said in press conference, film would be released on the 1st day of Ramazan as it will occur in Saudi Arabia. The title of the film is going to be announced soon in another press conference in Peshawar.
Dr. Babar Awan said Gildersà blasphemous film was misleading, unrepresentative and shallow. "There was a need for a proper reply to tell the entire world about the true message of Quran, which is the book of God," he said. This film would be an answer to the cruel act made by a Dutch law maker.
Dr. Babar Awan time and again asked for support of people (All of Us) for the same noble cause. It is for the cause of our religion, It is for the cause of our Holy QURAN, and It is for the cause of our prestige and self as a Muslim. I urge all of the believers to support for this noble cause by opening your discussion forums on this, by flowing your blog post in this regard, or by making any effort that come into your mind. As I see, It was the Need of the Time to step up to the Anti-Muslim world and do something about it...
